Disclaimer: DPGigs’ Terms of Service require that all users be at least 18 years of age and of legal age to form a binding contract. Users under 18 and at least 13 years of age are permitted to use the site only through an account owned by their parent or legal guardian with their appropriate permission. Users under the age of 13 are not permitted to use the site.
We do our best to keep our community safe for everyone. Therefore, we may ask sellers to verify their identity with an official government Identity Document (ID). We’ll only ask you to do this verification once.
ID verification
ID verification process must be completed one or both ways:
- Add a clear photo of an official government ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.) from the list of available documents (dependant on your country of residence).
- Take a selfie.
Your selfie and ID must match, and belong to you, to complete the process.
Please do not take photos of scanned images of yourself or your ID, as these cannot be verified. Completing this process is necessary to offer your services on DPGigs.
Data Privacy
We take great care in maintaining the security of the site and your information by preventing unauthorized access and preventing data loss, misuse, alteration, destruction, or damage through industry standard technologies and internal procedures. Strict procedures and security features are adhered to prevent any unauthorized access to your data. The transmission of your ID is protected by SSL encryption.

How we use your data
The collection and processing of ID cards are required to:
- Improve trust in the marketplace and Gig quality
- Secure our service and prevent fraud, Ex. Misleading sellers
- Recover hijacked accounts—ensure ownership of sellers’ accounts
- Enforce DPGigs’ Terms of Service
- Prevent cloned accounts
- Ensure that users are above 13 years of age
- Ensure that users comply with applicable laws.
This way, we make sure that we perform our obligations to our users, support our legitimate interests, and comply with other legal obligations or regulatory obligations. We assure you that the identification card will neither be used for any other purpose (including marketing purposes) nor shared with other users. The copy of your identification card is only kept for as long as required, for the purpose for which it was provided.
